DWL led a national team of designers and consultants to develop one of the largest student residential living complexes in the country. Home to 1,866 students, Vista del Sol offers deluxe apartment-style units, resort amenities, a dynamic mixed-use retail complex, secure covered parking and integrated academic technologies. The 483,000 SF, four-level parking structure has 1,608 spaces. A 30-foot-high, landscaped trellis extends along the east/west flanks of the garage to soften and screen its most prominent exposures.

ASU and the design team worked together to develop a contemporary and comprehensive approach towards the design this student community project. The innovative design creates a supporting environment that responds to the individual student, while concurrently creating a community that stimulates social and cultural growth. This project was completed in 2008
